Vintage and antique clothing often differ from modern standardized sizes. Many were handmade for an individual, so sizing can vary. Instead of relying on a labeled size, compare the given measurements to a garment that fits you well. If you have any questions about fit, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help!

Condition & Care

• Vintage and antique items have been previously loved, so small imperfections may exist.

• Hand-dyed pieces: Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, colors may not be perfectly even. Please wash these items delicately, preferably alone or with similar colors.

• Antique fabrics (pre-1930s): Delicate materials such as 1920s silk or Edwardian muslin require extra care. These fabrics can be fragile and should be worn loosely to prevent stress or tearing.

Things to Consider for Edwardian & Victorian Clothing:

• A marked XS piece may have medium-sized shoulders and hips but a tiny waist(corset-era sizing).

• Sleeves are often ¾ length, not full-length.

• Buttons may be mismatched due to age and previous repairs.
